How much oil?

Anyone want to look up how much oil to put in an 06 600rr?

The guy told me 3 and some. Put the three in thinking on the fourth I would go slow....After the 3rd one it was past the sight glass.

Left the plastics off incase I need to drain some

Damn this sightglass thing. I'm not taking the plastics off again to check. I figure it was right around 2.75 quarts.

My 1992 Kawasaki EX500 has the oil info on a label under the seat. Woo, an old beat up Kawasaki is better than a new Honda!!

No the bike is used. Somehow it didn't come with any of the little things it should have. Extra key, manual, tools, etc...
No label next to the sight glass.
Most people told me it takes 3.1 quarts. Unless I'm doing something wrong it took about 2.8. Going to check yardies link now.

Just checked the link. Doooh, I signed up a little while back. Actually posted the question there and got my answer. That's why I put the plastics back on.

Started the bike let it warm up then checked the oil. It was low. Ended up putting about the required 3.1 quarts.
Now the oil light comes on and stays on when the key is turned to "on". Goes out when engine is started.
