Joon Fif

I'm stealing Grant's KLR.

I'd like a tour guide please.

I need to be home by 4 or 5.

I'd like to go some place that my sv wouldn't do so well.

Anyone wanna take a deerrty noob out?

roll call:
koorblohInSeattle
yardie
inspectah
plummy
jaydubbleyou

krispeh krehm in teh quah, 10:45am

exit 38, which is "almost too much" for yardies DRZ, which means it should kick my ass'a'plenty.

I'm stoked. yay.

is this location a place the klr would do fine, but the sv wouldn't?

because if it is, then I'd like to go there.

Well.....technically the sv could do it. Guy I know of takes his KLR out to some FS9021 road out that ways. He says it's fun.

You got time, let's wait for Yard Sale to chime in, he usually has better ideas.

*i could take you out to my Super Sekrit Spot (that would be funny to take you and not Grant, lol), but you would get bored.

honestly, I have no interest in a road that the sv could do. I want something a bit more challenging.

lets go out to exit 38. it's almost too much for the drz to handle but if i has company i don't mind giving it another shot and failing. if i can find the same route i took last time i was up there.

your sv would not be able to hang so set up a meet time/place and i'm in. krispeh krehm in teh quah is always good cuz there is donuts & a starbucks within walking distance.

"almost too much" for your street tires sounds perfect.

See updated first post!

fyi, i has a nice gps track floating around somewhere for a fun time on exit 38. you could also do middle fork, or tinkham road.

tinkham is fun but not as challenging as what i found myself on out on 38. was the only place i've been so far that i wished i was on a ds so i could keep goin.

If I can wake up on time tomorrow, someone is taking me out to a place in Lake Stevens. I'll let you know how it is. (I have a feeling I'm not going to be "up to par" tomorrow.)

teasha was able to handle it on craigs 250.

exit 38 is fs roads. they are just in pretty bad shape is all. i wouldn't have second guessed a thing had i been on a ds. being out there alone on my street tires had me a bit concerned tho at times.

couple pics of what the more interesting stuff looked like -

Went out to Lake Stevens today. don't think I have enough pics to write an RR. It was fun and it was a freaken ORV park. Not worth Heffy's time on the KLR thou.

Too road-like and then the single track is either too short or too difficult. Lots 'O dead ends, turning around, bending the fuck out of the shifters...ect...

Don't get me wrong, I'll definitly go back...

*inspector may scout this area this weekend so he can reveal in the good times of the joon fif ride.

**also may be busy end of june helping someone move....agian! hopefully no piano this time.

if those two are out, we could go play on asphalt.

my bike would collapse in 2438927305923 pieces if it heard any mentioning of something worse than a gravel driveway.
