dialing in the virago

Ok, picked up my front wheel bearings for my wifes bike tonight, so tomorrow im heading up to the brotherinlaws to put them in and have some beerssssss.
Also started bondoing the small dents in the gas tank so i can get it primered and painted.
Ill post some pics when it gets done.......shit, some day, i suppose, i should work on my bike.

Hey I have a couple of cans of bondo laying around if you need them. I also have some limited tools. I have a small welder we talked about. Come over and we will have a tank fixing party.

Well, after tapping inot the second 18 pack of skunkwieser, we decided we did a good enough job with the dents and pianted the tank.
wasnt expecting to get that part done, considering i didnt have any piant, but he did.
we mixed some firetruck red with some chevy metallic green to make it a crimson red. looked freekin good last nite, you can see the flake in it. this morning, in the sunlight (and alot less beer in my system) it almost looks reddish brown.
Now i got to wait a few days before i can buff out any imperfections, but it looks pretty damn good.

Im curious to see it ( I need a painter myself)

I use this 3M Imperial Microfinishing Compound-Liquid 06011 and its awesome stuff, removes any orange-peel etc, good rubbing compound (think its the 2nd part of a 2-part compound)

1 of these days you can see what it did to my rattle-can job, most dont beleive its spray paint haha ...till I show 'em how soft it is

I can do a mean rattle can job myself.
we used some "wet look hardener" that seems to look wet so far, am curiuos to see the final results.
The wifes kinda bummed, she thinks it looks more brown than red.

Heres a couple i snapped tonight, i just set the tank and seat on for the full effect.
still havent wet sanded yet.
Not bad for a couple of drunk guys.............oh wait a minute, we let his son do all the work!
