brake cleaner

anybody use it? rear brake has a slight squeel, and feeling lazy

I know some brake cleaners are brutal and will lift paint, and I usually take 'em apart to clean/inspect, but like I said...feelin' lazy

if so, what kind wont hurt my unit? I try to stay away from the industrial action. could it be as simple as spraying it on...hosing it off? (wishful hoping)

Should be fine.

If you're worried too much about it, spray it on a rag and wipe it down.

I know a lot of people use it at car shows (on their bikes) to immediately get the tire shine off the rubber when they need to ride away.
