Leaving Kirkland at 0400, (unless DJ wants to go), then leaving a little later to accommodate the old man.

Whoa there fella. I'm the one that started the morning rides. Eric just has a way of taking an idea and making it seem original.

There where quite a few reasons of why/how this started. Now it's habit and just seems to works for me.

WordsAreForPlay 08-11-2008 11:05 AM

I'm lost on your star trek guy....

Plummy 08-12-2008 10:53 PM

was contemplating heading over the day before and just appearing at 4 am like some crazed lunatic, but i think i'm gonna go east instead. running out of riding season and knowing me, i'll never be over here again once i leave in 9 months (woot!!!) and i don't want to make someone uncomfortable

Inspector 08-13-2008 06:16 AM

^man, that would have been sweet.

I didn't think anyone would get the star trek thing.
WAFP....when I type that fast it comes out WARF....which is from star trek.

Inspector 08-13-2008 07:02 AM

Tempted to PM SICC.

WordsAreForPlay 08-13-2008 07:21 AM

About the time normal people wake up.

Inspector 08-13-2008 08:08 AM

I'm guessing it's about 6 hour round trip. Pretty slow going up due to po-po.

Pssh

Unless you're going straight up I-5, I doubt you'll have issues...

Inspector 08-13-2008 10:56 AM

Depends on who shows up whether I do I-5.
Last time took hwy9 and had two seperate cops sitting on the side of the road at different points.

Hi there
I'm new to Seattle, and also new to this forum. Although 4 AM seems a little extreme to me, I'd like to join this run.
Is it open to everyone?
And where or what is Baker?

I'm sure Inspector would be fine with you joining the ride, but he may be gruff about riding with you unless you post an introduction here: http://www.emeraldcitycycle.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17

Hi, 0400 is early but passing cars sucks on Baker, hence the early leave time. Any ride posted is open to anyone. Just follow the unposted/non-talked about rules and you'll do fine:lolsign:

Friend just bought a GS500...actually specifically sought out a learner bike...I was fucking amazed.

Anyhow, he got it Monday, so I told him I'd log some miles with him Sat...and I think I have a couple other riders +/- a noob or two to go along...so once I find out when that's scheduled for I may get my ass up at 3:30 to roll on this ride.

If I do go, you better not be having "cuddle time" in fucking Renton...

Edit:

Yard you really going to go on this if I do? I'm srsly debating it...you're free to join up on my new noob ride as well...think we're doing winthrop...but my noob seriously has less than 50 miles on a bike under his belt...

Inspector 08-13-2008 04:26 PM

^^S'ok. I don't go to Renton anymore.

WordsAreForPlay 08-13-2008 04:36 PM

90% in as long as we leave at 4 on the nose and there's no stragglers...

Inspector 08-13-2008 04:45 PM

^^I guess I better change the original post back to 0400 then?

WordsAreForPlay 08-13-2008 04:46 PM

We'll see.

I'm getting tired just thinking about both these rides in one day...

Dependent on how fast I can bang through a full service on my friend's bike Friday night.
